POSITION: Software Programmer, Professional Services
Description:Bowman Systems, LLC seeks a Software Programmer for working with web-based database systems delivering services in an Application Service Provider environment. Bowman Systems develops and markets the world’s most trusted, secure and comprehensive web-based social services software, and as such, we require a dedicated professional for this position. This individual will be responsible for working on various custom projects for our Professional Services division.
The person hired for this position will be tasked with a broad spectrum of programming duties. Some duties include: work with Manager of Professional Services to complete custom software projects; work with Product Managers to analyze new User requests for feasibility and integration; develop detailed specifications for new product enhancements; write SQL code to convert and import legacy data into Bowman’s products; assist Quality Assurance and Client Support Specialists in investigating critical issues and provide solutions for such; review various standards by governmental and other agencies for possible changes and adherence in Bowman’s products.
This individual will work directly under the Manager of Professional Services. As noted above this individual will have strong interaction with other departments in the company which will require strong interpersonal skills and good written communication. Due to the varied projects involved, this individual will be required to work well independently and in group environments.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Required Qualifications:

- Knowledge of web application environments such as C#,PHP, ColdFusion, JSP, ASP, or PERL
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and SQL code
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think quickly and offer alternatives
- Organized, goal oriented, motivated self starter who can work well in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience writing raw HTML, JavaScript, and SQL code by hand
- Experience writing code using C# and PHP
- Experience writing code using Microsoft Transact-SQL
- Experience using Microsoft SQL tools - Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer
- Programming background in a low-level structured language such as C or Pascal
- Object oriented programming experience
- Previous team-working experience
- Familiarity with Windows, DOS, and/or Linux operating system environments
Additional Skills that would be a plus:
- Experience writing code using C#, ColdFusion, JAVA, or PERL
- Crystal Reports (using and deploying overall product; building complex reports)
- Experience writing code using SQL in other databases (PLSQL, Oracle, etc)
- Quality Assurance testing experience at another web/software company
- Knowledge / Understanding of Social Service Organizations
