Scalability and Stability

IRis uses the power of Structured Query Language (SQL) for data storage and retrieval. You can easily use your own fully licensed SQL Server or may install SQL Express, which is included in the IRis installation for free. The database allows for a virtually unlimited number of records without sacrificing speed as the database grows. SQL offers an extremely stable data environment and is maintenance-free.

Customizable Screen Layouts

You can dynamically alter screen layouts on the fly with the built-in Screen Designer feature. Out-of-the-box screen configurations include the AIRS recommended and required data collection fields, but users may modify the screen layouts to their own specifications by creating new screens, activating/naming user-defined fields, and moving both fields and pages with click-and-drag ease - requiring zero programming experience.

Alternate Call Screens for User Groups

Create separate Call Intake Screens for specific purposes, such as Disaster Screens, in a matter of minutes. Assign access to specific Call Screens to certain users via the User Group administration area.

Securities and Permissions

Use the built-in Administration and System Setup areas to manage user/group permissions. Permissions may be set for activities within specific modules down to the field level. Set permissions for each User Group while users belonging to this group inherit those permissions.

Geographic Coverage

IRis includes U.S. and Canadian geographic data down to the zip code level, and allows for the ability to create custom geographic areas (such as named school districts, voting districts, multi-city or county areas) for defining service areas and using in searches and statistical reporting.

Mailing/Shipping Label Feature

You can easily create mailing/shipping labels for Contacts, Callers, Agencies and Sites by choosing the label format required by the USPS.

Several Options for Deployment

Choose to deploy IRis 4.0 on a LAN - local area network - file server with a limitless number of workstations physically connected through network cabling (multi-user license), WAN- remote connection/MS terminal access (remote user license), single computer/laptop (single user license), Citrix (multiple site license), or hosted by Bowman Systems and access via an Internet connection.
