Resource profile information is stored and managed through an administrative interface, which allows administrators and resource specialists to easily update and add resource information.  Information displayed on public resource profiles is governed by what information is completed on the resource profile; fields left blank in the administrative interface will not display on the public resource profile.  Other administrative functions regarding resource records include the options of choosing whether or not to display the resource profile on the public interface and selecting which contacts should be displayed on the public interface and which to keep for internal administration purposes.

Within the public interface, Resource profile information is organized in a tab format, allowing public users to easily navigate through the record.  For example, if the resource is a shelter, you have the option to display up-to-date bed availability and occupancy rates.  The physical location, primary phone number, and Google map are consistently displayed as public users move through the record information.

When the resource is located in CommunityPoint, the address is plotted on an easy-to-use Google map. The user may also view the map in a larger window and get directions to the resource, which automatically displays the physical location as the destination address.

At any point while viewing a resource record, the user can print the resource record or send the resource profile information.  Send by email to the resource profile or send the resource’s physical location and primary phone number to a cell phone via SMS text message.
