The CommunityPoint homepage greets public users with a simple natural language search bar, presenting the initial search ability in a familiar manner.  Users can then include service terms, resource names, and locations as search parameters.

Advanced search options allow for more targeted search parameters.  Users have more control over the relationship of their search terms and can specify the desired physical location and/or areas served by the resources.

The service topics search allows users to drill through the AIRS Taxonomy Service Tree to find the most relevant service code.  The taxonomy is simple to navigate, allowing users to view the results set for any listed service code at any time.

Search results are listed by relevancy. The order in which resources are displayed is based on how many times the search term(s) are mentioned in the resource records and how closely the searched terms are found together in the record, if more than one search term is utilized.  Users can select whether they would like to view the results in a list view or a map view, which plots all of the displayed resources on a Google map.  Each search result serves as a link to the full resource profile.
