CommunityPoint Template Options

A CommunityPoint template can be customized to reflect any organization.  The template includes the header, footer, and additional pages on a CommunityPoint site.  There are multiple options for creating a template for your CommunityPoint site.

CommunityPoint’s template can be customized to ensure a seamless link from any existing website.  Therefore, if you have an existing website, the developers can mimic your existing header and footer so that when end users reach CommunityPoint, they will view it as being a part of your site.

If you organization does not have an existing site, you can use CommunityPoint as your entire website!  Bowman Systems has put together a library of templates from which you can choose.  Text, colors, images, etc. can be changed within these templates to ensure the “look and feel” of the template reflects your organization.  The development team will work with you on creating a menu structure for your site, as well as to adding and designing additional pages to complete your site.

Fully customized templates can also be created for CommunityPoint.  The Bowman Systems’ development staff will work with you to create a customized header, footer, and layout design.

Creating a Composite Site

CommunityPoint can pull resource listings from one or more resource databases.  One CommunityPoint public website can be linked to multiple ServicePoint and/or IRis databases, creating a composite site providing the ability to search resource listings across multiple counties or even states.  A potential application of this concept is for multiple ServicePoint and/or IRis implementations to join together to create a statewide 2-1-1 CommunityPoint site.

Customizing the Homepage

The homepage of CommunityPoint has various sections which can be configured to your liking.  Administrators can easily turn sections on and off, change the text displayed, choose whether shelter information should be displayed, and add common searches.  Common searches provide administrators with a tool to prompt and direct users to specific searches with a tailored results set.
