Core Modules and Functionality
Now Available on Mobile Devices!Bowman Systems® announces the release of a brand new mobile application, the CommunityPoint iPhone® App. The app can be used with any I&R resource database product. It searches for resources and displays the results on a mobile device. The app currently works with Apple® products, such as iPhone®, iPad™, and iPod® touch. We plan to continue development that will expand use to other types of Smart Phones, such as Blackberry®, Droid and more. And we’re already moving forward with programming to add new functionality to what’s already available. Click here to learn more! Clean, Fresh Design. Intuitive to Use.CommunityPoint has been designed with the public user in mind. The design is simple and uncluttered, making public users comfortable in performing their own searches and obtaining relevant resource information. Organization and simplicity of use has been the overarching themes while designing CommunityPoint. The execution of these concepts can be seen through intuitive search methods, easily understood results sets, organized resource profiles, familiar Google maps, and public user accounts providing additional organization methods. The website’s searchable interface also works well using the browser function in all mobile devices, which allows end users take the website with them and service providers to use a mobile device to submit update requests for their resource listings. Use CommunityPoint on its Own or in Conjunction with One or More I&R Databases of ANY Type.CommunityPoint does not require the purchase of ServicePoint or IRis; it can be used with any I&R resource database or used on its own. When purchased as a stand-alone product, CommunityPoint includes the publicly searchable interface, along with an administrative resource database. However, when CommunityPoint is purchased with ServicePoint or IRis, resource data is displayed in CommunityPoint without any additional work on your part; resources from your database can also easily be withheld from your site if necessary. CommunityPoint is also robust enough to pull resources from one or more I&R databases of any type, creating a composite site with resources across multiple counties or even states; a potential application of this concept is for multiple agencies to join together to create a statewide 2-1-1 CommunityPoint site. |
