Bowman Systems Attends the AIRS Training and Education Conference in Jacksonville, Florida
May 2007

Held in the Hyatt Regency Riverfront Hotel in sunny Jacksonville, Florida, the theme for the 29th Annual I&R Training and Education Conference was “Sunshine, Sandals, and Surf: A Breath of Fresh AIRS.” The ambitious and vigorous schedule of activities organized by the conference administrators had something to offer every attendee, including workshops and sessions on aging, I&R, mental health, counseling, implementation, fundraising, and much more.

Bowman Systems’ representatives arrived Sunday afternoon (May 6th), set up their display booth in the cavernous and brightly-lit Hotel Ballroom, and were immediately thronged by conference visitors interested in improving their case management and 2-1-1 software. Along with customized Tabasco miniatures, the representatives doled out information on the new-and-improved features of ServicePoint 4.03 I&R and its 2-1-1-specific module, CallPoint. (Click here to download the CallPoint flier, or here to visit the CallPoint website). The Bowman Systems representatives were also pleased to be able to interact with current ServicePoint users, to answer their questions, to discuss upcoming feature enhancements, and to take their suggestions for future innovations.

On Monday morning Bowman Systems sponsored the Refreshment Break, featuring fresh-baked pastries and Starbucks coffee. Later that afternoon Gabe Cate, Bowman Systems’ General Manager of New Markets, held a product demonstration for current and prospective ServicePoint users, to showcase the improvements and advancements included with ServicePoint 4.03 I&R. Mr. Cate followed the demonstration by treating his guests to dinner at the Cellar Grille, a local restaurant with great steak & seafood and outstanding service, and took the opportunity to speak one-on-one with his clients, to gather their input and opinions, and to note their thoughts and ideas for future product development. All in all it was an enjoyable, informative, and somewhat raucous evening.

Tuesday and Wednesday presented more opportunities for Bowman Systems’ representatives to interact with current and prospective clients. It was a constant two-way flow of information; shoppers voiced their desires for 2-1-1 and case management systems, Mr. Cate discussed the considerable capabilities of Bowman Systems’ products, and as a result of this cooperation a number of custom-tailored solutions developed, all made possible by the depth and customizability of the ServicePoint suite and the collaborative spirit behind it.

Mr. Cate and the Bowman Systems staff would like to thank everyone who took the time to stop by the booth to discuss the future of 2-1-1/I&R. Special thanks also goes out to Sharon Galler, the Conference Director. We look forward to seeing everyone next year.
