Bowman Systems Software Suite

Bowman Systems has been directly and exclusively serving the social services arena since 1999.  With installations operating today in 48 states in the US and 2 provinces in Canada and still growing, Bowman Systems is the leading provider of information services and web-based workflow software.

The company's initial formation took place when Robert Bowman established Bowman Internet Systems, LLC, subsequently named Bowman Systems.  Later that same year the independent National Human Services Data Consortium (NHSDC) was formed to promote the use of technology to enhance the delivery of human services.  The social services sector was poised for the launch of an information company that specialized in inter-agency, cross-system provider collaborations and focused on supporting those organizations that serve at-risk populations.

Already by January 2001, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development had named Bowman Systems' ServicePoint software the "Number One" homeless management information systems product in the nation.  This recognition led to a period of rapid growth for the company and a corresponding emphasis on product development.  Today, Bowman Systems offers a full product suite for case management, real-time care coordination, outcomes monitoring and service tracking, call center operations, community resource web-sites, intra-system professional networking, and housing locator services, complete with business intelligence for a wide range of reporting and research and analysis capabilities.

By 2004, Bowman Systems was serving an increasing broad swath of the social services sector.  Product improvement continued steadily forward. ServicePoint 4.0 was released in July 2005.  This version included the powerful Advanced Reporting Tool known as ART, created in partnership with Business Objects.  ServicePoint 4.03splogo_highres was released in February 2007.  Bowman Systems' products were by this time being used in many types of service delivery systems, private and public provider networks, information and referral programs, older adults services and permanent and supportive housing projects.

With the development of its professional networking product in 2008, named GatherPath®, Bowman Systems demonstrated its commitment to innovation for the social services industry.  GatherPath unleashes the power of real-time communication and best practices sharing among human services professionals in the community or region using a searchable, secure business-networking tool.

Bowman Systems has also played an active role in the development and implementation of several national data standards for the human services sector, e.g., AIRS XML; HUD XML and .CSV; the Human Services XML of the National Human Services Data Consortium; and the Client Disaster Data Standard of the Coordinated Assistance Network (U.S.).

Today, ServicePoint is the preferred solution for over 70% of the HMIS market in North America.  And that is just one social services sector where Bowman Systems' products excel!  In addition to comprehensive data collection, the reporting and analysis capabilities of the software are extensive, with ever-expanding libraries of reports available without charge and a robust ad hoc reporting tool that places business intelligence at the user's fingertips.  Bowman Systems' products fully comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements, and offer such flexible and detailed security options that they can be tailored to the needs of any provider network, no matter how nuanced or complex.

Bowman Systems' professional staff includes industry leading software developers, a full complement of customer support specialists, teams of consultants, trainers, and data analysts, plus a number of experienced social services professionals from the non-profit sector.

In early 2009, Bowman Systems added IRis to its suite of information services through the acquisition of the software firm Suncoast Custom Programming and Web Design.  IRis is the leading software for Information and Referral/Assistance.  This database-driven system is specifically designed to help organizations manage their I&R/A activities.  It quickly became a popular addition to the company’s product suite.

Most recently the company released major version upgrades for two of its primary products with the debut of ServicePoint 5.0, and then CommunityPoint 5.0.  A major upgrade of HousingPoint is in the works and will soon be announced.

Bowman Systems' reputation as a national technology and information services leader is well deserved.  Our time-tested and proven partnerships with communities and provider networks, of all sizes and forms, are our signature distinction and greatest honor.
